All sites concrete pad with the easiest access, hookups and all has some shade. The Good: Exceptionally clean and well maintained. You have to walk right past them to go through or to read the map.

Also, back to the engineering of this park, someone planted a tree right by the map of the trails next to the visitors center that attracts wasps. Also, every time I’ve been here I wanted to rent kayaks, in the middle of the day each time, and the marina has been closed.

I asked the front desk person about the trails and she wasn’t very helpful. We’ve been to 3 state parks this week and my son never complained until today. There are no stairs to get down to the day use area so you have to walk a looong way out of your way to get to and from your car. It’s very inconvenient if you park at the visitors center. There is a pavilion I guess you could get some shade in but even my 10 year old son was complaining. Someone mentioned it’s like being in a parking lot and that’s pretty accurate. Every time we’ve been here, there’s no shade and you sweat ALOT. But there are no trees in the day use area.

We’ve been here 2 or 3 times and today was a gorgeous spring day. I feel like whoever designed it is not an outdoorsman.
